Head of the Hospital Pharmacy Service
Leads a Pharmacy Service characterized by being patient-oriented rather than medication-oriented. In our Hospital, we have succeeded in making the pharmacist a recognized and sought-after professional in the various departments due to our three main focuses, which are: clinical, managerial, and research-oriented.
With over twenty years of professional development in the field of Hospital Pharmacy and four years in the Deputy Directorate General of Pharmacy of the Department of Health. Hospital Pharmacy has undergone a profound transformation towards clinical orientation since 2013. As Head of Service since 2018, her commitment to research and innovation has borne fruit through the creation of the UII-FH Unit.

Coordinator of the Research and Innovation Unit
Specialist in Hospital Pharmacy and Juan Rodés Researcher (ISCIII). His clinical-research profile enables him to identify clinical-care problems and provide solutions through research. Born in 84’, PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela, he is the PI of seven competitive research projects and has participated in several collaborative national and international projects.
He shows an outstanding scientific production with over fifty works as main author and has experience in technology transfer with a patent in exploitation. Current Research Director of the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy.

Responsible for the Galeno 4.0 Area
Pharmacist specialist in Hospital Pharmacy, responsible for the pharmacotechnology area at the Pharmacy Service of the University Clinical Hospital of Santiago. Since 2001, he has led the creation and development of the Central Unit for the Production and Distribution of Methadone Tablets for the healthcare network of Sergas. His scientific activity focuses on ophthalmic pharmacology and the stability of medications in the context of personalized drug preparation in the hospital environment. His background in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, along with his expertise in drug manufacturing, enables him to engage in solving clinical problems related to medications.
He is founder and scientific advisor of the company Basesoft, dedicated to designing software for personalized medication compounding.

Personalized Medicine Area
Pharmacist specialist in Hospital Pharmacy and Juan Rodés Researcher (ISCIII). Holds a master’s degree in Clinical Research and a PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Granada. She is trained in animal handling and experimentation in all categories, as well as holding a license as a Supervisor of Radioactive Facilities. Her scientific output in the last three years includes the publication of twenty scientific articles and over 50 presentations at national and international conferences.
She is involved in two European projects obtained through competitive public calls, three research projects under the Strategic Action in Health, and two national projects from competitive private calls.

Postdoctoral Researcher Senior Talent Program, GAIN, Xunta de Galicia
He possesses extensive and proven experience in mass spectrometry techniques, liquid chromatography, cell culture, protein extraction, handling of biological samples, and a wide range of molecular techniques, as well as proficiency in various programs for processing raw data and statistics.
Use and management of proteomic platforms focused on studying the expression and quantification of proteins through ITRAQ, SILAC, and Label-free approaches in human samples to investigate inflammatory diseases.

Pharmacist specialist in Hospital Pharmacy and Río Hortega Researcher (ISCIII). Holds a master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Dose Individualization from Miguel Hernandez University.
His professional and research career is oriented towards the dose individualization of anti-infectives, thanks to the competencies acquired in the fields of pharmacokinetics, statistics, new technologies, and programming languages such as R and Python.

Postdoctoral Researcher
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Zaragoza, and a master’s degree in Biomedical Research from the University of Santiago de Compostela, where she obtained her PhD in Molecular Medicine.
Her research activity has focused on clinical research, specifically on the identification of serum biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of autoimmune diseases. She has experience in handling biological samples, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), molecular biology techniques, cell culture, recombinant protein expression, DNA extraction, and chemical synthesis, among others.
Furthermore, statistical analysis is an important part of her research activity, with knowledge of various statistical software programs. Currently, she is involved in research on personalized medicine in immunomediated ophthalmic pathologies.
